Summer Worship
Our summer worship schedule will allow us to gather all at the same time, enjoy the outdoors, and appreciate our indoor worship space.
Starting Memorial Day weekend, and going through Labor Day weekend, we will have one service at 9:00am that will alternate locations between the parking lot and sanctuary.
The service will continue to be livestreamed to the church Facebook page, recorded, and posted to the church website and YouTube channel.
We know that a lot of people liked the opportunity to worship in the parking lot last summer and that a lot of people are more comfortable indoors. We also recognize that indoor crowds are still uncomfortable and unsafe for many people who are part of our worshiping community.
For parking lot worship bring a chair, blanket, or something comfy to sit on. Cones will be out to separate the worship and parking spaces. Kids can grab their Sunday School bins that will be stocked with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. If the weather does not cooperate, we will move into the sanctuary.
Worship in the sanctuary will look much like it does now. Children’s bulletins and crayons will be available, and families are welcome to use the Pray Ground.

El Salvador News
In 2000, St Peter entered into a partnership with Apostles of Christ in El Salvador. Our vision was to help the children in the area with their education. Now, many of them are graduating from trade school or college.
Apostles of Christ is doing a great job as they have taken on 16 new grade school students this school year. We need your help!! Sponsoring a student in grade school is $15 per month or $3.75 per week. If you would like to sponsor a student, please respond to this message and we can get you started.
There will be a new display in the hallway to the fellowship hall. There will also be a question and suggestion box with cards and pens for you to use.
Please consider sponsoring a student or donating to the El Salvador program.
North Side Christian Food Pantry
The North Side Christian Food Pantry at St. Dominic is looking to add to its Board of Directors. The board consists of a President, Secretary, Treasurer and at large members. The annual meeting is held in May with quarterly meetings held throughout the year. The food pantry is organized exclusively for charitable purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The role of the board is to set the policy and strategic direction and oversee the financial and physical operation of the pantry. Volunteering weekly is not required of board members, but occasional visitation during pantry hours is appreciated. The main requirement is a desire to help people in our community who struggle with food insecurity, following the mission of Jesus. For more information, please reply to this email.

RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT MISSION NEWS
Ways to Give
There are multiple ways to give to St. Peter, even if you’re not in worship! You can always place your envelope in the offering plate on your way into or out of worship. You can write a check and mail it to St. Peter (2104 Geele Avenue, Sheboygan, WI 53083). You can give online at stpetersheboygan.com – Click on the ‘resources’ tab, then click ‘online giving.’ You can scan the QR Code here and it will take you to our secure online giving page. The QR code is also in each bulletin insert. Or, you could set up a one time or recurring bill pay through your bank!

Endowment
A milestone has been reached and thanks to the members of St. Peter we have met the required $25,000 needed to transfer funds from an ELCA interest bearing account to the ELCA Endowment Fund Pooled Trust. This will provide a greater return on our investment. Our account balance as of March 31, 2022, was $28,262.
We will provide members with more information throughout the year about the endowment, its purpose, and its benefits. Current Board Members are: Pat L., Ron W., Pam W., and Dick S. Please reach out if you have questions.
No gift is too small. Donations can be made for birthdays, anniversaries, or in honor/memory of someone. Please consider St Peter and our endowment when you are estate planning.
