The council met on May 19, 2022. We prayed together and went over the Respectful Communication Guidelines. A discussion took place about a policy for ‘Endowment Fund Deposits and Communication Process’. The policy was approved. The council also approved a motion to invest in the ELCA Endowment Fund Pooled Trust. St. Peter will use the ELCA Endowment Fund Pooled Trust to manage St. Peter’s endowment funds. A motion was approved to allow Love Fellowship COGIC to use the fellowship hall for a rummage sale on Saturday, June 25th.
As of Monday, May 23, 2022, we have $6,215.00 in our general fund. This is the money that we use to cover daily and routine expenses. To cover budgeted monthly expenses, our giving needs to be $5,300.00 a week. Our designated funds for ministries like Endowment, El Salvador, and Pastor’s Discretionary Fund all have healthy balances. Our current need is financial donations to the general fund. Please prayerfully consider contributing to the St. Peter general fund to help us continue our day-to-day vital ministries. If you are already generously giving, any additional gift is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

SOCIAL OUTREACH MISSION NEWS
Spring 2022 and we are finally delivering fidget mats. This time to Shores of Sheboygan, Azura, Songbird Pond in Plymouth and Meadowview. Some facilities are surprised to know we gift them.
Our group of fidgeters feel so blessed that we are able to give people who may, for various reasons, need a little comfort and distraction. We are also pleased to do as Jesus tells us to do, to show our love for one another.
A story from Songbird Pond: A gentleman was gifted with a mat from us and passed away. His family took his belongings home, including the mat. The family then took a video of the man’s great grandson playing with the mat.
Thank you to the St. Peter people who continue to keep us stocked with doodads and gizmos. Makes for some very fine and interesting mats. If you have some time to share, please keep us in mind. Every Thursday from 10am – 12pm. Peace, Joan

El Salvador News
In 2000, St Peter entered into a partnership with Apostles of Christ in El Salvador. Our vision was to help the children in the area with their education. Now, many of them are graduating from trade school or college.
Apostles of Christ is doing a great job as they have taken on 16 new grade school students this school year. We need your help!! Sponsoring a student in grade school is $15 per month or $3.75 per week. If you would like to sponsor a student, please respond to this message and we can get you started.
There will be a new display in the hallway to the fellowship hall. There will also be a question and suggestion box with cards and pens for you to use.
Please consider sponsoring a student or donating to the El Salvador program.
North Side Christian Food Pantry
The North Side Christian Food Pantry at St. Dominic is looking to add to its Board of Directors. The board consists of a President, Secretary, Treasurer and at large members. The annual meeting is held in May with quarterly meetings held throughout the year. The food pantry is organized exclusively for charitable purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The role of the board is to set the policy and strategic direction and oversee the financial and physical operation of the pantry. Volunteering weekly is not required of board members, but occasional visitation during pantry hours is appreciated. The main requirement is a desire to help people in our community who struggle with food insecurity, following the mission of Jesus. For more information, please reply to this email. ~ Pat L.
