Our Community Garden is looking more and more like an active garden! Plants are in place (mostly) and seeds are planted.
We have strawberry plants getting established in the round bed on the corner just to offer a little “fruit hospitality” to people passing by. Who wouldn’t feel refreshed by a sun-warmed strawberry?
Our WELCA flowers are blooming cheerfully and faithfully.
We have access to a neighbor’s garden hose and water. We have tools and a place to put weeds. By summer’s end, God willing, we will have tomatoes, beans, peppers, onions, carrots, cucumbers and potatoes!
Now like the Little Red Hen who planted wheat, we are asking, “Who will help us water the garden? Who will help us weed the garden? Who will help us harvest the garden? We know who some of you are, because you have already helped bring the garden to life. But there may be others of you who are interested but have questions…
- If you are willing to help a little here and a little there, we can use your help!
- If you want to learn more about the garden, we have experienced gardeners to help you learn.
- If you want an easy and fun way to involve your family in the mission of St. Peter, come and spend an hour in the garden!
- If you have questions about getting involved (how? when? how much?) contact Janet Blank through the church office or at email@example.com
Feel free to just stop by to see how things are growing!
