Christmas Poinsettia Orders

Let’s make our Sanctuary a beautiful and festive place to worship this Christmas season!  Consider ordering a red, white, pink or marble 6½” plant with 4-6 blooms for $11.00.  Please place money and order together in an envelope and place it in the offering plate, or turn it into the office by Sunday, November 30th.  Plants may be picked up after the 7pm Christmas Eve Service.

Give Thanks

Stop by the office door, grab a sticky note, and write down something you are thankful for. It can be anything! Maybe you are thankful for certain people, places, things, or activities. You can share your gratitude for our church, certain ministries, or places where you volunteer. Then, post it on the glass wall as a way to share gratitude and give thanks to God.  It is also a way for us to see what different people are thankful for in our faith community. Fill out as many as you want to!

Council Update

The St. Peter Council met on October 14, 2025.  Reports were shared and Missions gave updates.  A motion was made to approve a quilt sale for a WELCA fundraiser.  The motion passed.  A motion was made and passed to make a recommendation to deny an endowment request.  When the time comes, the Endowment Team will communicate the appropriate information regarding distributions.  If you have any questions about the meeting, please contact a member of the council.  Members of the council are: Pastor Kristin, Pat D. (President), Joy (Vice President), Ginny (Secretary), Dawn B. (Treasurer), Scott, Barb A., Connie, Jon W., LeAnn.

Note: You will continue to receive regular council updates in this email.  These updates include the significant information from the most recent meeting.  You can find the “official” minutes of all council and team meeting minutes that we receive in the binder marked “Council Reports” that is kept below the bulletin board in the narthex.

Financial Update

Thank you to all who stepped up this past week.  On Monday we will have all of our bills paid and a nice cushion in the bank!!  Our weekly giving needs to average about $5,000 each week for us to meet our budgeted needs.  We rely on your consistent and faithful giving to provide worship, education and ministry for those at St. Peter and beyond.  What you give matters and God works through you to do the work of the church.  Thank you for your continued generosity!!

P-Y-P Day (Pick your Project)

Fidget Mats Plus!

On Wednesday, the 15th of October, deliveries were made to Edenbrook (Sunny Ridge) and Longfellow School.   On that day all who have helped in ANYWAY, from donating doodads, gizmos and fabric, to encouraging us, to making fidget mats, adult bibs and Foley bag covers, snuggle shawls and cuffs, were called angels today!    I wish all could see how much these items we love to make, are appreciated.   The mats were already selected for people who could use a kind way to get through the day.   Thank you ALL!

In total the combined numbers are:

29 adult, Alzheimer’s and kids mats.   46 cuffs.   108 Foley bag covers.   1 snuggle shawl.   26 adult bibs.

Please join us each Thursday from 10am till noon.   We would love to have you join us to continue being the serving hands of God!

LWR Baby Care Kits
There are new rules for those who shop, sew and knit for Lutheran World Relief Baby Care Kits.  Baby Care kits will now need to include only new or handmade items. Also, when you are cutting off the feet of sleepers and bottom snaps of onesies, they must have a hemmed or serged finished edge. They MUST look new.

Why the change? When Customs officials in other countries find stained, unhemmed or worn items in any of the shipments from LWR they penalize LWR and won’t release the shipment for distribution until the fine is paid. The fine can be hefty.
