PARISH LIFE MISSION NEWS
Beyond Vision Team
Thank you, Thank you. THANK YOU!! During Lent and Holy Week you responded generously to our New Sock Drive. Two large laundry baskets of new socks of all colors and sizes were donated. There were some practical white socks, some bright colored fun socks in a variety of patterns. Some were light weight, some were intended to keep our feet warm and dry. The socks were delivered to the Pay It Forward location on Michigan Avenue in Sheboygan. This location is a place where all people can go to get a little extra assistance during a hard time in their life. Something so small like a pair of new socks can make a huge difference to another brother or sister in Christ.
Do you have an idea or see a need that we as a community can assist? Reach out and share your idea with the Beyond Vision Team (Pastor Kristin, Pam W, Renee R, Karen V.)
Wednesday Night Golf
Great News! We will be gathering for Golf every Wednesday this Summer starting Wednesday,May 31st. Tee off will be from 5:30pm to 6:00pm at Sunset Hills Golf Course. You do not need to be a par golfer to join in the fun. You just need to like to have fun. If you don’t golf maybe you would like to just stop out and have a beverage, pizza and join in the fellowship at 7:30pm. If you have questions, contact the office or call Pam.
St. Peter Mini Golf Outing – Wednesday June 15th at 6:00 pm
Sunset Hills Golf Course and Miniature Golf Course. This event is for everyone, not just the seasoned duffers. Bring out your family and friends to try your putting skills. We ask that if you are fifteen and under you come with a grownup. Come and join in the fun. If you have questions, contact the office or call Pam.

SOCIAL OUTREACH MISSION NEWS
Fidget Mats
Thank you to those people who have been providing fidget supplies for us, they are so greatly appreciated. It will be a while before we make deliveries again, but it feels good that we will have enough to take care of all who need these items. We always have a need for costume jewelry and extra hands to put together mats. Can you use a sewing machine? Sew on a button? Use scissors? Cut fabric? Sort doodads? Cheer us on? Fulfill what Jesus has asked us to do for our neighbors? If so, we’d love to have you join us! Every Thursday from 9am to noon. Just come!
Quilting
Our quilting group for Lutheran World Relief needs gently used sheets for the backs of the quilts. Flat sheets are preferred – any size and color is just fine! Then, join us for quilting on Tuesdays from 9:00am–12:00pm in the quad room. No experience necessary. We will teach you.
SCIO
Four families currently call Bridgeway home. We are looking forward to warmer weather and outdoor activities. Plans are underway for our annual Bridgeway camping trip. Please consider donating any of the following before July 7th: sunscreen, bug spray, bottled water, inflatables for water play, paper plates, plastic utensils, pudgy pie irons.
Please join us in wishing Alex well, a program assistant from Lakeland University, as she heads to Boston College to pursue a Master of Social Work degree. Extra prayers are appreciated!
Mission Moment: SCIO recently restructured staffing resources to better meet the needs of the community. Due to the significant increase in clients needing assistance with community resources, we developed the Client Advocate position. The Client Advocate has been very busy working with families who inquire about Bridgeway and Family Pathways. She is currently assisting 3 families who need housing and 4 families are working through the intake process for supervised visitation.
We would like to focus on our pantry in the coming month and would appreciate any help with Mac and Cheese, jarred sauces (such as spaghetti or alfredo), and frozen vegetables. We are continually grateful to our partners in faith!
Northside Christian Food Pantry
NSCFP continues to be open weekly to serve those in our community who need food. We have been serving new guests weekly. Please note that our overall food donations from congregations are down and would appreciate your help.
St Peter has been a partner for many years and has been a great service in reaching out to the community. Thank you for your participation.
The list of most needed items for May are: Baked Beans, Boxed/Canned Potatoes, Canned Tuna/Chicken, Cereal/Breakfast Bars, Mac & Cheese, Soup-13 oz or larger, Dish Soap, Ketchup/Mayo/Pickles and Plastic Grocery Bags.
We are open weekly on Thursdays from 12:30-2pm. Our location is at St. Dominic Parish, 2133 N 22nd St. Sheboygan. There is a parking area and a sign by the door.
