Lutheran World Relief School Kits
Please take advantage of the back-to-school sales and help complete our goal of 140 school kits. We are in need of pencil sharpeners, boxes of crayons, erasers, rulers, notebooks, pencils, and pens. There are post it notes on the office wall requesting these supplies. Please grab a post it (or two) and help us fill the school bags on assembly day, Sunday, October 4th! Please place your donations in the bin under the table in front of the office. Thank you!
Quilting
We have been industrious in our quilt making – over 100 quilts so far this year. We have gifted to our high school grads, baby baptisms, and we have sold some. Recently, we gave 6 quilts to Trinity Lutheran (Missouri Synod) in Menasha and 12 quilts to Prince of Peace (ELCA) in Appleton for the tornado relief efforts in Menasha.
We had a wonderful donation of king size sheets. We can get 2 adult quilts and leftovers to cut into squares out of 1 sheet!
Our quilt and WELCA people are: Kelly, Kay, Joni, Joan, Sue, Kathy D, Cindy, Linda, Carolyn and Carol. We meet on Tuesday’s from 9 am to 12 noon. We always enjoy having more people join us. Thank you to any and all of you who have given financially, physically, and prayerfully to our ministry.
P -Y -P Day (Pick your Project)
Come join us on the 1st and the 3rd Tuesday of each month. If you like to sew, crochet, wrap or write, we have a place for you. You can bring your own project from home and come for the camaraderie! We welcome new people to join us!
